Managing Director

Karen joined USL in 1985 and from a nursing background. She had various sales and marketing roles before becoming Managing Director. Karen is a former Executive of the Medical Industry Association of NZ Inc and is a USL Director.

General Manager Sales & Marketing

Aaron has been with USL Medical since 1994 in a variety of positions from Customer Services Representative, Territory Manager, National Sales Manager, Business Manager Medical Markets and now General Manager Sales & Marketing. He oversees the Sales & Marketing division and is responsible for a large team of Business Managers, Sales Managers, Product Managers, Product Specialists and Account Managers. Aaron has a wealth of experience in many healthcare sectors and brings a strategic mind and customer-driven work ethic to the team.

General Manager – Operations

Anthony has been with USL Medical since 2007 and has been responsible for developing the Supply Chain and Logistics framework. The primary objective of the framework is to deliver the right product, at the right time to our customers in an effective, efficient and safe manner. More recently the focus has been to incorporate the Customer Service function into the framework which allows us to manage the entire customer experience from order placement to delivery. During this time, Anthony has designed and project managed two new warehouse builds as well as an office build and relocation. Previous to USL, Anthony had 17 years in the retail sector.

Bridget Rood

Business Development Manager

Bridget joined the USL team in 2006 as a Product Manager moving into the Business Development role in 2013. She has a background in Paediatric and Orthopaedic nursing. As BDM she seeks out new products and services, markets and channels and critically reviews these to determine if there is a viable opportunity for the company and our customers. She develops and manages our private label medical device range, ensuring our products are sourced from reputable and independently audited factories. Bridget brings an excellent mix of both clinical and commercial experience and knowledge to her role.

Business Manager - USL Sport Healthcare

Craig has been with USL since 1991 and heads up USL Sport Healthcare. The division is a market leader in the supply of physiotherapy and sports healthcare products in New Zealand. This has been achieved through Craig’s ability to form long term and valued relationships and his continued passion for this market. The relationships have been supported by USL developing a dedicated sport team that is 100% focussed on ensuring our customers know we value their business. Craig and his team’s ability to work across the business unit from product sourcing to delivering marketing and commercial initiatives will ensure that USL Sport Healthcare will remain a market leader in this category in Healthcare.

Business Manager - Medical

Peter joined the USL team in 2003 with a health sector background in emergency nursing, project management and procurement.  He established the Equipment Division in 2012 and is now responsible for the entire Medical Business Unit including Aesthetics and Biomedical.  With a great team of Product Managers, Product Specialists and Biomedical Service team members, Peter strives to have a team that is customer focused.

Business Manager - Consumer

Rachael became part of the USL team in 2010 as National Sales Manager for Consumer division and now leads the Consumer team as Business Manager. She is passionate about the retail sector with experience aplenty in both retail facing and wholesale environments over the years. Rachael forges strong long-standing relationships with our partners, allowing the division to deliver highly efficacious brands to the retail sector, creating repeat sales and building solid business relationships in the market.

Financial Controller

Shane joined the USL team as Financial Controller in 2019, his role incorporates overseeing the Finance and IT departments as well as assisting the business with planning and strategic decision making. Shane has a passion for continual improvement and challenging the way things are done. He brings many years of experience in complex fast moving environments with a background in financial accounting, planning and project management.
